Synopsis

When a man's head is full of pride, he tends to forget about living humbly. So proud of his own ability, he lives in a world where he is constantly surrounded by darkness. All these change when he realises the beauty of Khon, a Thai sacred masked dance. And from then on, he discovers the real meaning of the dance and it's arts...

Plot: After seeing his parents murdered at the age of 10, Tien (Tony Jaa) lives on the streets and is taken in by a group of thieves who train him in the art of fighting. Years later, he will use all his skill and ingenuity to avenge his parents' killer.

Overview: Set in the regal times of King Naresuan, Tony Jaa plays Tien a man who was born into nobility but had it stripped from him after his parents were brutally murdered. After seeing his parents murdered at the tender age of 10, Tien is forced to live on the streets where he is eventually captured by a group of thieves who take him in and teach him how to steal and fight. Tien expertise as a thief and fighter grows and it isn't long before he is made head thief.
At last, the opportunity has come and he will have to use all his skill and ingenuity if he is going to get his revenge on the man who killed his parents.

Overview: Ong Bak is the Buddha statue kept in the Nong Pra-du temple in rural Thailand, which is believed to be imbued with magical powers that will keep the village safe. One night, former villager Don cut the head of the statue to win favor with ruthless crime boss Khom Tuan. Ting, an orphaned youngster raised at the temple, determines to go to Bangkok and look for the lost treasure. However, Ting is forced to compete in illegal street fights. His superior skills make him a natural champion, and he even agrees to throw a deadly fight when he's promised the return of Ong Bak...
